after you hang up, if the other person didn't hang up yet - after the initial noise of hanging up, if you've got recording equipment hooked up you can hear another half second or so of what the other person says until THEIR line is disconnected - just a weird glitch, I imagine it's there to prevent calls from being disconnected for a momentary disconnect like a phone cord with a partially broken wire or something
