never heard of a bioshock movie in the works until i just looked on google.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1230526/i believe bioshock at the moment is just a speculated release, another movie in the works is warcraft, again i don't even know if they will make it.
some movies get planned out, some even get close to completion and then are just scrapped (like jurassic park 4, twice).
I would prefer to have bioshock as a CG movie to be honest, they could perfectly preserve the feel of the game without ruining it, most live action adaptations merely spoil the game's history for the fans, silent hill is a rather good example of this, as a standalone movie it wasn't that bad, but as an adaptation it was pretty poor, especially with the character changes made.
Another good example of how turning movies live is a bad thing would be dragonball, what a crock of shit and anybody remember mario brothers? they see these successes in other areas and then attempt to cash in on it.
The hitman movie wasn't so bad in my opinion, but i had grown to love the 47 of the video games and the movie felt strange to me. The originals are most often better than the movie adaptations, i almost forgot about the doom movie, that was a mix of good and bad, could have been amazing, but ended up as just ok.
Anyway, that's pretty much all i have to say at the moment.
