 you can take the audio from vids using AVS Video Converter 6 its free and you can put it to wav, mp3 exc
now for audio editing you should have Audacity for advanced stuff and its like 30 day free trail i think if yu dont wanna buy it
for something free if you wanna keep making boards/need the time try Free Audio Editor
basic, easy gets the job done

for recording sounds .dont bother with that shit most are not free an if they are the sound wont be luxury..what you will need is youtube downloader
http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/ it can convert your videos aswell to what you want for example MPEG or iponevids exc
