how do I make a signature picture people can click and it will play audio?

if you have Macromedia Flash:

1. make a picture a reasonable size to go on the forums...
2. open Flash
3 open a New file
4. import a picture TO STAGE that you want for your sig pic (File>Import>Import to Stage)
5. import TO LIBRARY the audio file you want (File>Import>Import to Library)
6. click the picture and get the dimensions (Window>Properties) and make the stage the same dimensions (with Properties open just click any empty part of the stage to see the dimensions of your Flash file and change them to fit the dimensions of your picture)

7. center the picture on the stage
8. click F8 and turn the picture into a BUTTON (not a movie clip)
9. highlight the button and go to Windows>Actions to open the actionscript window
10. type the following exactly:

on (press) {
   sound = new Sound();
   sound.attachSound("MyMp3");
   sound.start();
}


11. go to Window>Library, find the mp3 file, right click it, and click 'Linkage'
12. check the box 'Export for Actionscript' and type 'MyMp3' in the box that says 'Identifyer'

publish your SWF file (File>Export>Export Movie)

and make sure it's to a place you can find it easily

NOTE: if your audio file sounds crappy like it's overly compressed, when you get to the last step where you're exporting your SWF file, make sure you uncheck 'Compress Movie' and then set the two audio settings below the highest quality (160) setting
