I’m looking for some video games to play, they can be famous, not-so-famous new or old. Anything that’s cool and awesome with lots of shiny things and flashing lights. No, just good games I missed out on. (I missed out on a lot.) I’m really picky when it comes to video games. I really like the Zelda titles but I’m also annoyed by a lot of things in those games. I've tried a few new ones recently; Mass Effect and Dark Souls but wasn't real impressed, however; I barely gave them a chance really. I don't know why I can't get into them.

Here are two I found recently;

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/ucUfj9W33sc&rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/ucUfj9W33sc&rel=0</a>

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/MtO66dF59Ao&rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/MtO66dF59Ao&rel=0</a>

I wish I could design my own video games. I’m too damn lazy to learn programming or anything. If I could do that, I'm certain I would get to work on something awesome. It might take me a long time to put together but I'd try goddamn it.

Download a SNES emulator, and EVERY game! If you get bored of 1, just move on down the list, you'll find something in there.  grin

I'd also recommend John Karate 2.

What kind of game would you make if you could make one, Bronco?

I'll have to check these out, thanks.

Well first of all… I’d make a 3D Zelda game (or spin off) containing my favorite things about the game; tons of cool items, item collecting, paying/buying stuff, a variety of enemies, complex and puzzling dungeons. But minus the things I dislike; long cut scenes, linearity, predictability. And some new features like a simple level-up system.

Then I make another 3D adventure game of similar epic proportions. I have sort of the beginning of a storyline down but nothing more.

And I make a survival like game inspired by that Carmegeddon mod of GTA4.  grin I didn't get to play it yet but it looks like so much fun.

you can merge this with another one of video game threads if you want. I couldn’t figure out which one it belonged to.

Heh, If you can settle for a badass 2D game instead of 3D, I'll get started on whatever you want!  grin I'll go as far as 2.5D, but that's where I draw the line!  smiley

-You didn't like Dark Souls Bronco? What's not to like about walking on a narrow ledge and then getting hit by an arrow that's bigger than you are and flying about 500 feet backwards, and down into oblivion. That 20 minute run back to where you were was incredible, and when you get there, you get to walk on this narrow ledge... and then this arrow hits you... and, oh god damn that game!  angry

how serious are you about making a game Amygdala?  cheesy I might take you up on that. I wouldn't mind making a 2D Zelda game. At least, see what it's like to try. Won't hurt to try right?

You can easily make one with RPG Maker, especially 2d Zelda's  and it's super easy, i use to do this all the time in the 7th grade when newgrounds was popular ..before myspace lol  T_Anger1 smiley

listen to this guy, even if you're not gonna use game maker (which has nothing to do with RPG Maker 2000/2003/XP)
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/5kd7jwYRQtI&rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/5kd7jwYRQtI&rel=0</a>

this programs is is very confusing at first, i'd stick with the rpg maker  smiley rolleyes a 7 year old could use it  cool

you can even use zelda music and a link to the past layouts

here's a gem i forgot about

I used to watch Nerd3's videos until I got tired of some of his stupidity in some videos regarding what video games should and should not be like. I also grew to hate his antics and lack of skill at any type of video game (but that's just a sort of inner elitist coming through).

Mortal Kombat - Komplete Edition - If you play this on Steam, hit me up and I'll be happy to play wink

Smite - Basically it's a moba with Gods, You play it in the same style you'd play an FPS or TPS but with the same moba mechanics that make LoL popular.

Dota2 - Again another moba, it's as different to LoL and Smite as you can get really. Each game is unique in many ways, the only similarity between this and LoL is the map layout and the genre really.

Guns of Icarus - Flying on airships, coop and shooting people out of the sky, it's fun!.

State of Decay - This game starts out a little slow and didn't endear me to it straight away but it definitely grew on me and I can't wait to see it grow.

Guild Wars 2 - An MMO that does a lot of things differently, they regularly have free trials.

Tera - While in raid, loot and quest system this game is closer to games like WoW and Rift, the combat system is completely different and way more fun.

Kerbal Space Program - What's not to like about launching rockets, landing on planets, docking in orbit and blowing up your little green men?

Those are just SOME of the games that I love to play these days. If I were to list every game I think is worthy of mention, we'd have a twenty page report and a five page review for each game.

I'm gonna take a crack at Dota 2 because it was recommended to me

geez i guess nobody has played Command & Conquer eh... It's a lot like Starcraft ...You build a base, harvest money, build defense buildings etc. you can buy tanks and people and the goal is erase the other persons base(s)

anyways now that i got steam hopefully i can get the chance to game with you nut jobs  smiley T_Anger1

Well C&C is decent but really, none of the newer games comes close to the old Red Alert games. I like playing Starcraft, Age of Empires and the Total War games personally.

As far as MOBA games go, I don't think any is quite as good as Smite (just my opinion there though).

I've been spending countless hours playing with the new kerbal space program update and have done tons with it.

As for being on Steam, yeah I'll play with ya if you're on when I am and have the same games ofc cheesy
