the background for this one is from Heartburn - Jack and Meryl Streep are eating spaghetti at 4 am watching tv - there's about 15 seconds of the movie they're watching where neither of them talk - so we play it as a background - first forwards, then backwards in a loop - nobody seemed to notice anything - despite the trumpet sound or whatever it is, and the guy saying repeatedly 'you can remember her love for you' - haha

yeah that loop is great, im sure the mental health 'professionals' thought he had been listening to a record that was skipping for several days. it added a nice touch to the overall feel of insanity

I dont know if Jack is crazier or the lady for staying on so long...but Jack does sound like he has lost his marbles, so she probably wanted to make sure he gets some help LOL

She's also really deaf. He yelled "TOM!" like 3 times and she still asked him what his first name is.

"lady, you ready?" "lady, you ready?" "lady, you ready?" "lady, you ready?" "lady, you ready?"
One of the best I've heard, I love the background music especially the intense chord that the low brass instruments play, I'm surprised the lady didn't wonder what he was watching.

Ha, I just watched "The Brain That Wouldn't Die" from 1962... (With the MST3k guys help) and I hear this calls background music, then 'You can remember her love for you!' I've never seen Heartburn, so I was wondering why the hell Jack had this on the board. "That was out!"

I think there's a scene in Heartburn when Meryl and Jack are watching TV and the "You can remember her love for you" is playing in the background. I wouldn't recommend seeing Heartburn though. For a movie that boasted Meryl and Jack together and Mike Nichols directing that the movie is a sappy chick flick is pretty disappointing. Good thing Meryl and Jack teamed up again for the underrated Ironweed and did some of their best ever work IMHO.

Oops I didn't see that Jack already posted an explanation about the Heartburn clips. I'm so sorry.
