here it is unlit with the lights on and unfinished, you can probably spot the unfinished spots

this whole fucking thing took 5 hours;

30 minutes cutting the top off and carving it out while saving the seeds (making a thin layer inside the pumpkin where the image is going to be)
2 hours poking holes marking where to cut and carve
2:30 is the actual carving

it's hard because this is where you assess what to leave what to carve and what areas need to be shaved, this is where you gotta tell your doubt to fuck off (drink 4 beers and let the magic flow)

so it's kind of like that method of drawing where you scratch ink off a page -- so working in reverse to a normal drawing -- and uhh, on a fucking pumpkin  T_Shock1 shocked

pretty impressive man -- on a number of levels

you should think of doing stuff like this as a way to make a little money -- you're definitely an artsy guy

I got involved with computer art once I bought a computer in 2000... but nothing beats working on something tangible

I made a bunch of little monster busts when I took ceramics in college. very satisfying. I still have a couple of them -- on the windowsill next to my desk

anyways -- good shit man  cheesy
