Anyone ever looked into these? It seems like a great way to find easy targets, just takes a little bit of research to get people's ventrilo information, but some of these pranks turn out amazing:

I like the ones where they record what someone says and then come back pretending to be that person, like this:

It takes more efoort than you think.  On vent your IP is diplayed for the admin to see as soon as you log in (hat's how they ban you, they ban your IP).  Alot of Admins will use that IP info to send trojans and other nasty shit to your computer.  Plus, these guys aren't stupid they know a soundboard when they hear it and you'll be kicked and banned in no time.

You need to learn to multi-vent, defeat bans, quick record and playback, etc

The video you have a link to was made by the VideoCompiler.  He not only invented Vent Harassment but he's the best at it.

when a bunch of us played poker @ 888.com for two saturdays a while back w3b and I went in ventrilo just for our group and messed around with soundboards - and I had two cool edit pro windows open - one for recording what we were doing and being able to copy parts of it into the second window, where I'd loop little parts or put effects on stuff so I could play it back to him real-time, but bottom line, if someone says something funny or for whatever reason, and I can't believe I didn't think of this before (thanks man), but we can do the same thing with pranks - just have two cool edit windows open and use the second one to play back for the person being pranked stuff they said earlier in the call - just copy it from the window that's doing the actual recording haha - so if/when we do that in the future - give yourself a little pat on the back

I tried the playback of voices during a call before and it turned out okay.  I noticed Soundboardking done a great job of it recently.  It can be funny no doubt about it.

i have a miniboard of my own vent harrassment, but i didn't get to using it that much since it doesn't really have that many psycho lines lol.

I might place it up if anyone is remotely interested, it's just finding ventrilo servers that's the hard part lol.

Edit: i wouldn't mind knowing how people can replay the sound files so quickly though, the only way i have of doing things is by using audacity and that is a pain in the, well you know what i mean.

It can be utterly awesome when done properly, but as with most things, it rarely is. Not really a fan of repetitibe irratation nor infamous catchphrases, give me a more subtle mastery of record and playback instead.

I'm partial to this guys stuff myself: http://www.youtube.com/user/VentertainMe
