When I first saw this I thought the bush they picked looked like Christopher Lambert in that promo poster, that would have been amazing

Unfortunately Stones a hack these days, so I'd fear the worst for this. And he didn't exactly eviscerate Nixon did he, the most corrupt president on record.

good point. plus fat lot of good it would do now - him and his cronies have already accomplished their REAL mission - our reputation is ruined abroad, the constitution is shivering in the corner, 'underwear inside out, bound with electrical tape', the coffers have been looted and the economy is crumbling beneath our feet - so now we're all supposed to have a good chuckle over all of it.. nah.

Has anyone seen this?  I saw it over the weekend.  Entertaining and colorful enough  smiley

Richard Dreyfuss as Dick Cheney is the best part, he even does that thing with his jaw.  Inspired casting

I heard it was pretty soft on W, which is about what I figured it would be when I first saw the previews - some of the commercials have been saying it was oscar material - you agree danny?

It's too comedic to be Oscar stuff, Oscars are generally all about dramatic drama with crying and screaming and fighting for rights.  I wouldn't say the portrayal was soft, but it wasn't "harsh" - they showed him as a simple and dimwitted guy, enough for most viewers to make up their own mind on Bush.  I wouldn't be surprised if Josh Brolin is nominated for an Oscar/Golden Globe though, I could see him winning a golden globe.  They are a lot softer than the Oscars   cheesy

I'll probably watch it, but I'm so disgusted and horrified by Bush that I won't enjoy it - the day he leaves office will be one of the happiest in my life - he's been a cancer on this country for far too long - let's hope he doesn't start WWIII before January...
