Hey, I've been having some issues lately, on recording. I'll get on Skype, prank call people for a while, and most of them are failures, then when I actually get something good going on, I'll forget to record it. Anyone else have this happen to them before?

Yeah, I have a few stuff recorded, but most of it isn't quality. I've just been messing around, trying to get better experienced before a post up one of my calls, the only problem is the only time I get a nice call is when I'm just practicing on people, and I won't have Audacity running.

I did something like this once. I had a great call that had me rolling, and I thought, 'Wow, this is absolutely the best I have ever done, can't wait to show the forum.' The call ends and I frantically open up audacity to save it, and it has frozen...I get very pissed. I leave for about an hour, hoping it will unfreeze. It didn't. So I waited overnight. Still didn't unfreeze. Made me so angry.

A couple of months ago I called this bar with Arnold's drunk and the lady got REALLY upset and started threatening to kill me. It was great! Sadly, however, I didn't forgot to press record..

It happens to roy and I at least once every time we do a session - last time it happened to me three times... I lost two pretty good calls and one really good one.

I went to finish recording a movie last night and for a reason I still cant figure out Audition just decided to stop working. I can't record anything, I can still use it to do everything else, though just not record anything. wtf is going on?? I can press record but then nothing comes through. Is there an option that I might have changed by accident or something? Help me out!

sometimes your computer will reset your sound configuration when you restart it
try double-clicking the little speaker by the clock in your task bar, then go to Options>Properties>Recording and make sure 'What You Hear' or "Stereo Master' or whatever option it is for whatever's on your sound card is checked -- your default setting might be for the mic/line input, which is where it might have been reset when you started your computer
or maybe another piece of software reset it - only takes a second to change it back though - that's where I usually look first when I have problems
