well - I'm about to leave to go to pick up a rental car - a couple of buddies and I are off to NYC to see Les Claypool and a few other bands play at Terminal 5

should be a pretty good show - I'm excited - haven't been to NYC since I was 8  cool

I'm bringing my camera too so I should have a pic or two when I get back - which should be Sunday night at the earliest

yeah it was pretty fun - we showed up in NYC, I pounded four beers and the other two did their thing and we all walked a few blocks to the show, waited in line for the better part of an hour

finally got in and grabbed a doubleshot of Jameson for $20 that was actually 4-5 shots

we saw three other bands before Les came out - first one was the best we thought

by the end of the night I'd had two more double shots - I made my way up to the front of the stage and partied  there for a bit and then left early because it seemed like Les was kind of 'phoning it in' - it was the last show of the tour, so beforehand I figured it'd either be an amazing show or lackluster because they're tired and want to go home - seemed like kind of the latter - but not disappointing - it was cool to see Les again

I looked for my buddies and couldn't find them so I just walked back to the hotel alone, stopping along the way a few times to smoke a cigarette and soak up a little NYC - it was cool - there was so much fog you couldn't see the tops of the buildings, and then a giant rat crawled out of a garbage can behind a restaurant when I was walking by

I stopped at McDonalds on the way and got lost for a couple of minutes, finally got back to the hotel and tried my keycard on the wrong door (woops) before I found the right one, so I sat on the window sill munching fries and watching the traffic while Lethal Weapon 4 was playing in the background

my friends showed up about a half hour after I got to the hotel -- we were all pretty drunk

I woke up at about 4 am with a splitting headache but went back to sleep and we all got up around 9 and I felt fine - just hung out for a bit and had coffee, then headed home

bullshitted in the car - drove through the Catskills - all in I took over 1,000 pictures in the car, but barely any of them came out - too blurry even though I was using the fastest shutter speeds here and there

all in all good fun  cheesy

Well jack, i don't have a fart's shadow of a clue what most of the stuff you said meant.
But it did indeed sound fun cheesy

It's always nice to spend a night or two out, get a bit drunk and eat some junk food lol ^^

Well jack, i don't have a fart's shadow of a clue what most of the stuff you said meant...

yeah - rereading it I can see a few things that might be unclear

NYC = 'new york city'
pounded = 'drank'
doubleshot = two shots in one larger glass
Jameson = a popular brand of Irish whiskey
Les = Les Claypool (mentioned in first post)
'phoning it in' = 'going through the motions', not putting forth much effort
Catskills = Catskill Mountains = just a major mountain range in New York State

I couldn't find anything else in my post that most people wouldn't understand - hope my legend helped

I remember seeing Primus in Cleveland a while ago.  It was pretty kick ass until some dickhead threw a can of skoal onto the stage- Les got pretty pissed.

But still, it was a good show.  They played Frizzle Fry in its entirety- which was friggin' awesome   T_Grin5

It was the Primus 2004 Hallucino-Genetics Tour.   They released a DVD of the show in Chicago- which seemed liked a much better venue than the show in Cleveland (which was outdoors). http://www.amazon.com/Primus-Hallucino-Genetics-Live-2004/dp/B00065YI34

Here's an upload I found of the entire DVD!   cool  Brings back memories  :'(
