sounds pretty convoluted, but here's what I'd do for the youtube vids:
1. make sure you have the real player plugin that allows you to download youtube and other vids
2. download all the vids you want the audio from
3. install FormatFactory (free) and change them all to AVI files
4. install VirtualDub (free) and export the WAV file from each of the AVI files
you have to change them to AVI first because for some reason FLV Audio Extractor no longer works on YouTube videos
another way to get a shitload of Ramsey audio would be to keep signing up for free Graboid accounts with their 4GB of free download until you get all the episodes of Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen, and then use VirtualDub to export all the WAV files from those AVI files
or you could get a netflix account and since they have some Hell's Kitchen and/or Top Chef on the Watch Now programming list, you could just install any free sound recorder and play the shows while you record the audio straight from your sound card

got a better way of doing this, much faster and easier to remember. 1. Get firefox, version 3.0 is preferred, not a big browser and it's not half bad, prefer opera but hey, beats the shit out of IE and Chrome. 2. Get net video hunter plugin for firefox. 3. Download the youtube video, easy. 4. Import the video into audacity and splice all the audio you want. No need for conversions or complications, easy as pie to download any video from any website and just save audio directly. To import the video into audacity you need to have the ffmpeg library in audacity, it can find it itself. |
