I wanna preserve audio quality going from an mp3 to 3gp file so I can use a clip I made as a ringtone, but the fuckin thing sounds all weird and crappy whenever I change it regardless of the quality setting I use in Format Factory

anybody know of a way to create 3gp files out of mp3s that preserves the sound quality? I mean I can record something with my phone's sound recorded and use THAT as a ringtone and it sounds fine, but for some reason changing an mp3 to a 3gp and putting it on my phone sounds like shit...  huh
