Don't do it in public unless you are certain she will say "yes." You could set yourself up for something ugly if you're not careful.

But you seem the true and honest type so I bet you're going for a nice lady of good nature who wouldn't embarrass you if you made an elaborate show of the big question. Why not hire a plane to write it out in the sky? Or how about you set up a big song and dance number in the park? You could always do it on a romantic boat ride or something like that where it's just the 2 of you, but I recommend you go for the gusto.

Whatever you do, you're gonna bow down and worship her like a god.

And don't worry. You'll be on your knee in no time.

I put  the ring in my mouth and kissed her... in retrospect that seems kind of gross.

that's a good question though -- it's the kind of thing you only really get to do once, so it definitely calls for a little creativity

Congratulations buddy! buy a 300 dollar champagne bottle pour her a glass put the ring at the bottom give it to her and say this is the expensive kind i want you to take a little sip and tell me how great it is

remember attention/big scene doesn't mean sentimental, it's all about the 1 2 KNOCK OUT, it'll be her greatest drink  remember to then get on your knees when she finds out and then go for the double K.O and ask

my idea for an engagement would have to be go big or go home there's no way I could do what you did and be happy with that. If I was gonna make a commitment like that it would have to be something so special that nobody would be able to duplicate it.
