tastes like a great batch homebrew -- in that it's the style a lot of folks gravitate toward after they get the hang of brewing their own -- very dark, lots of flavor, lots of hops -- not overly malty/sweet -- very good

difference is -- whereas this TASTES like a great batch of an average homebrewed stout -- it has nearly twice the alcohol content -- and THAT is the real trick with brewing -- any beer can be delicious at 5%... this beer is delicious at 9%

Oh, how I miss decent beer.

Usually when I get a nice paycheck I'll get some Belgian beer or something. However lately I've been putting down $2.99 six packs from trader joes/ walgreens.
