so, what you're about to hear is audio the Howard Stern show played -- of an old recording William Shatner did for some kind of product he was selling. but the director made him do another take and then Bill asked him to do it the way he wanted it done, and then Bill did it EXACTLY the same way -- so much so that I actually superimposed the audio of the two of them over the top of one another and it fits perfectly:
so yeah, he nailed it.
[EDIT] in case anyone's unclear about what this is -- the part where both of them are talking at the same time (114-126) was where I copied the take Shatner did and mix-pasted it over the top of the example take the director did -- because roy and I were so amazed at how exactly he did it, we wanted to see if it matched up and it did
