there is nothing of real substance in that article. all it does it provide a few facts, and then invites the reader to engage in supposition and conjecture.. and it works too -- because you said, "it seems he ran a porn rental business in college" -- but according to the article "an anonymous source" CLAIMED he had done that. anyone can claim anything about anyone. like I can claim that you make and collect plaster casts of cat footprints in cement. doesn't mean you do. and if the person claiming it refuses to go on record and remains anonymous, it doesn't lend a lot of credibility to the claim bottom line, if there's an investigation into these kinds of things, there's 5 Fast Facts You Need To Know: 1. the federal government ALWAYS takes Electronics, Documents & Other Items in an investigation like this 2. anonymous people making claims about someone being investigated does not constitute guilt of any crime 3. corporations severing contact with people being investigated is not evidence that a crime has been committed 4. how many times someone has been married, and the jobs these spouses did is not evidence that a crime has been committed 5. how much money someone has in their bank account is relevant to an investigation into crime, but without a guilty verdict at trial or a plea bargain, any attempt to suggest it has significance is mere conjecture that said, I find him creepy. always have. maybe that means I'm an asshole who just finds random innocent people creepy. I don't know. but what I won't do is assume he's guilty of what he's being investigated for based on the mere fact that he's being investigated for it. I know it's human nature, but we have to assume he's innocent until he's proven guilty. otherwise gossip wins.

I know it's human nature, but we have to assume he's innocent until he's proven guilty. otherwise gossip wins. well that sounded fine to me. I was thinking similar thoughts when I looked at that article. It's like; why does how much he makes have anything to do with a child-porn investigation? Like they just threw that in there to add to the stuff to make him look bad and sound entertaining. I know I've said it many times, but this is exactly why I stopped reading the news. My opinion of Jared is just that he's stupid. I mean, who really goes on a diet of only subway. I'd get tired of that so fast, and sure it's healthier than say; MacDonald's but it's not 100% great either. For diabetic people for example, all that bread is no good.

yeah -- when we crucify Bill Cosby and Jared before the facts come in -- the terrorist win funny you mention Cosby cause, I was really doubting that whole story until I read the newspaper the other day [ I know, me read a fucking newspaper!? ] anyway; it changed my mind a litttle. Idk, I still can't say I know everything about the whole story, (and perhaps have no right to) but it seemed like quite a large number of women accused Cosby and Cosby admitted to giving some women pills "to help sleep" or something. My first thought it "why do you need to give anyone pills to do anything?" I mean... just seems weird. And then he made a lot of refusals to release info as usual with these cases, which I never understand. Hell; if your innocent, why not release everything you possibly can? If I was convicted of a crime I did not commit I would release as much as I could; tell everything, cause I want to prove I'm innocent goddamn it. There's two sides to these famous people scandals; one is that, since there famous and up on this pedestal [that we fucking put them there btw] we have a tendency to want to berate and curse them. But at the same time, we also seem to have this tendency to think they're better than everyone else or are capable of making the same mistakes as everyone else; especially do horrible things. The truth is that neither is true; they're just like everyone else with all the same greatness and faults. Now the cops and judges are trained professionals taught and trained to see through all this and look at the case objectively and reach a truthful conclusion as best as they can. The problem is these trained professionals also have these same greatnesses and faults so they are not infallible, but we have to trust they reach the right conclusion. Now I'm tired of talking and caring about this. Honestly this serious talk feels too much like work for me, I think I'd rather be an apathetic asshole.

What I want to know about Cosby is:
Did the federal government take his electronics, documents & other items?
Did any anonymous people make claims about him?
Did any corporations sever a contact with him?
How many times has he been married, and what jobs did his spouses do?
How much money does he have in his bank account?

nice post bronco -- not being an apathetic asshole does take some work, but it's like any muscle. exercise it a little and it gets oh so strong What I want to know about Cosby is:

nice one houseman sorry if it seemed like I was a little harsh before. my grandfather was the editor of a newspaper for 30 years so I'm a little sensitive to pseudo-journalism*... I'm always embarrassing my buddy on his facebook page because he posts articles from dubious websites where 2 minutes of googling can disprove what the article he posted said. like yesterday he posted an article about this guy who rigged his motorcycle so it could run on water, using hydrogen as fuel -- hydrogen created by electrolysis... having once been a chemistry major in college I didn't even have to look that up to call bullshit on it. the problem is that until the last 20 years or so you could trust certain journalists and journalistic establishments. since then money, greed, and just the dumbing down of EVERYTHING has led to a situation where (unless you're already an expert on the topic) you have to research every claim made by every journalist and journalistic institution. Not so much true with say The New York Times and other giants, but still... At least NYT prints retractions when they get things wrong... FOX News just spews bullshit 24/7 and no one bats an eye. The same dynamic plays out every second of every day on 'the internet', but to an even worse degree than on FOX News... so unless it comes from a source I know, respect, and trust, I'm automatically suspicious. and if it's something provocative enough to make me want to tell other people about it I almost always research it for myself to make sure it's true. it's too bad you have to do that, but that's the way it is nowadays. and it's probably not gonna get better for a while either. *especially plain old gossip disguised as journalism

Yeah, I used to read established newspapers allot and found that useful, but time consuming. Now that news is on the internet, I go there since I'm on the computer anyway. However, it's not the same.
I actually liked your reply. It made me think.

actually that's almost around the age when people can actually start having sex, I wonder why on earth they would pick that number. [sarcasm] still, Jared guy is a creepo. Like Jack said, I thought he was a creepo before anyway.

Well pedos and molesters are marked men in prisons so he's about to enter one of the worst kinds of Hell there is. The one thing all the gangs and cons agree on is their hatred of guys like him.
