But one of those I'd love to try out. 

I'd love to go to a vacation to the deep woods or mountains somewhere and use one of those to explore, damn

I know. I have friends that are all about appreciating nature and they just don't get it... how I can be appreciating the FUCK out of nature, but with a raging hardon because I have all that power at my command haha... I know, the tires chew up the dirt they ride on... boo fucking hoo. we do that with our feet if enough people walk on the same spot... so do deer for fuck's sake. I'm not saying I wish every human owned one of these and drove it through a national forest on a daily basis... but on your own piece of land? take decades to carve trails that lead to great vantage points? I still say that's appreciating nature.

btw, I realize now 12K is not the price of an ordinary (new) car.    But you might be able to buy a used four-wheeler for a decent price. I decided a long time ago I'm never buying a brand new car.
