one of the great things about house/dog/chicken/car-sitting for the newlyweds was that on car trips to and from town the only radio station that came in with any consistency was the top 40. so I listened to top 40 for a week. and now I know five or six new songs, among them -- this one, that I know by heart now:

reveling in debauchery -- or more specifically, the hangover after the debauchery.... but that hook though... no wonder it's topping the charts.... ...

and the more I listen to it the more I like it

honestly I've always had a weakness for really well-made pop... and if you listen to this song a few times, and really loud, you'lll realize it's pretty fuckin good, despite the juvenile lyrics

I  just love all the sound effects and the mixing is incredible

especially at the end... so much happening in the mix

I agree mostly. Although I don't really care for the guy's voice too much. but I'm pretty picky with voices.

That's what I love about weird Al-- he takes a pop song, which may be good or decent in it's own right, or at least have a good melody then make it even more interesting with funny lyrics.
