 embarrassed

so the first reactions to the new Star Wars movie are coming in after the Hollywood premiere: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/12/15/spoiler-free-reactions-to-star-wars-the-force-awakens

I for one felt like a heavy weight was lifted off my chest...

all the anticipation before the Phantom Menace which was crushed and maimed by the halfway point of that phantom movie -- well that anticipation is back  cool

so whadya think? anyone gonna see it ?  grin

Well of course I'm going to see it because George Lucas isn't involved, Mark Hamill (the best joker  critiqueJack) returns to his role as Luke mother fucking Skywalker  grin T_grin12 T_Grin1 T_Grin2

We get to see a new Sith Lord or possibly an old one return  T's joker T_smile2

This looks promising, and I'm in no way bias about this because last year I watched the original and prequels for the first time (the prequels had no magic)

I think this will be nothing like the prequels and since Lacas isn't involved we won't have 50 versions of the same movie appear when the new trilogy is done

Fuck yeah, I'm going with my brother and our buddy. Looking forward to it. It got a 97% on rotten tomatoes, which is pretty fucking good. Finally a good star wars movie again  grin

I didn't see it in 3D, but I loved it. I thought it was a fun ride. I went with my friend who is a bit of a SW purist, in that his favorite games are all Star Wars and Battlefront, and reads all the extended universe novels, and he didn't really like it. I said yeah the movie has problems, sure, but overall it was pretty solid, especially compared to the prequels. Yeah Han Solo was pretty much the main character, but the new characters were developed. And I don't want to spoil anything, but how things end up justifies this  lipsrsealed
