"Twenty pushups a day..."

I was watching waterworld ('bought' 340 movies in the last couple of months thanks to my speedy internet upgrade)

and I found an error in the movie. I don't even fucking remember what it was

but I went online to see if anyone else caught it, and I ended up going on an adventure

I found myself at a page where nerds write in all the technical and story issues they have with a movie, and a kindly adult dismisses them handily, but politely

it is just delightful: http://www.moviemistakes.com/film1384/corrections

oh yeah -- I remember what I had an issue with -- he goes down deep and retrieves 'dirt'. which presumably these floating cities use to grow crops.

but wouldn't the soil be completely saturated with salt???

I don't know, but I don't think they ever addressed that in the film. why would the dirt he brought up from the sea floor be worth a plug nickel?  huh
