the audio you attached was saved at a frequency of 32,000Hz - but Flash players need a multiple of 11,025Hz like 22,050 or 44,100Hz to play the mp3s at the right pitch so I resaved it at 22,050Hz

that's a pretty damn good first call man - especially given how hard that board is - great job!

Thanks . . . why is the speed of the recording so fast?

the little mp3 players on the site are made with Macromedia Flash - Flash can only interpret audio data 'correctly' at a frequency that is some multiple of 11,025Hz - your audio file was at 32,000Hz, which is pretty close to 33,075Hz (11,025Hz * 3), but is a little slower - which means when Flash tries to play it, it will sound 'fast' - or high - conversely, if you have an mp3 with a frequency of 48,000Hz, which is nearest 44,100Hz (11,025 * 4), the frequency is a bit faster, so when Flash plays it, it sounds 'slow' or low

I guess the thing to do from now on for myself and the mods is, if somebody subs an audio file at a frequency that doesn't work with flash - just use one of the other streaming audio methods instead of the flash one - like the windows media or the quick time:

Good job, man. There was some good engagement in there when the lady on the other end said something like "you keep saying you are in charge, but..." and when she tried to sum it up for JLK by saying "so...you are in charge of Maisie, right?"

The woman on the phone also had an interesting accent, sounding kind of 3rd world colonial when she said "charge." Was she Indian or South African or something?

yeah indian I think.

Nice call, I like the repeated phrases and the lady not catching on it was a prank
