there's more on the way tomorrow got band practice today otherwise I'd have posted them already Re: #423 - Sound Defects (2:21) By: Baggins Date: October 13, 2010, 03:14:32 pm Good start with Jack and Judge Judy. Re: #423 - Sound Defects (2:21) By: mmmmmmonsterkillkillkill Date: October 13, 2010, 11:09:48 pm The funny part is that every single person that you have ever called will probably think about the call you made to them every day for the rest of their lives since the calls are so bizarre, assuming that they didn't know it was from jackulator.com. Some requests:
1) Can we call more serious places like law firms and such?
2) Can you make more Clinton calls please?
Another random thought is have you ever tried ripping sound bites from Jack interviews and TV appearances for more source materials?Re: #423 - Sound Defects (2:21) By: jackulator Date: October 14, 2010, 01:08:31 am great to see you're still kickin around m-m-m-m-monsterkilllllllllll
I agree for the most part -- most people will probably recount strange jackish things to friends and loved ones whenever the subject of odd phone calls, or odd phones, or odd behavior, or jack nicholson, or some other strange extrapolation of something they heard on our call comes up
you should check back through the archives though -- we do call 'serious' places from time to time -- we're gearing up for halloween 2010 right now though, so it could be a while before we call lawyers and whatnot -- especially since halloween is in fact 'this weekend' (not this one, but ON a weekend for a change)
but once the holiday seasons round out and we're done making turducken outside on the driveway and buying cigars and X-boxes and whatnot we'll be back to trying out new ideas -- before we start buying pools and shit that is
and yeah -- I have a bunch of jack interviews off of youtube -- a couple of which have already been cut up and made their way into the jackulator lexicon
you should stop by more often brotha Re: #423 - Sound Defects (2:21) By: TitoChe Date: October 14, 2010, 10:15:06 am Man, if he had an audio book out there..Does he?? Erm, the possibilities would be endless... Here's an idea, to make a good call for utube..Paste him saying x and box together..Then call PS tech supports, stores and sht...Kids love any shit related to consoles...What is Your official YT chan Jack?
How many sounds do you have in that beast anyway?? You said around 20K somewhere?? You have this clip, rite?!:
So fucking random Re: #423 - Sound Defects (2:21) By: jackulator Date: October 14, 2010, 10:26:23 am hehe yeah I've got that -- haven't gotten around to cutting it up yet -- I was waiting for a higher-quality version of the audio, but it's a pretty old movie so that's probably not gonna happen
some great shit in that scene though -- GET A JOB!!!!!! Re: #423 - Sound Defects (2:21) By: Melvin Udall Date: October 15, 2010, 05:35:54 am That's the clip from Carnal Knowledge . . .
Great scene, some fantastic quotes in there that would confuse the prankees.
Btw, Jackulator, I've been listening to some of your old calls and I was wondering if you had a 'I'm an educated man but I'm afraid I can't speak intelligently about X' button
It would be a very useful button if nothing else
"What salad would you like?"
'I'm an educated man but I'm afraid I can't speak intelligently about SALAD"'
And so forth.Re: #423 - Sound Defects (2:21) By: Harry Horscoch Date: October 15, 2010, 07:23:09 pm
Its funny, I've thought about that seen before. My thinking was it would be great if a telemarketer called and you just told them to wait and bam: a domestic dispute explodes.
Re: #423 - Sound Defects (2:21) By: Harry Horscoch Date: October 15, 2010, 07:26:17 pm Oh and I forgot to mention the: "Where the fuck is my shoe horn?" clip.

we actually have something just like that on the board already -- many of the most famous and/or usable clips have the beginnings clipped off and saved as 'precursors' that you can click and then it brings up a list of words to finish the sentence with -- so to make phrases with that line you recommended I just had to cut up that phrase, so you should hear it at some point -- fantastic idea though

yeah we haven't done a 'hold on' style domestic dispute in almost three years -- maybe more, it's definitely time for anotherRe: #423 - Sound Defects (2:21) By: Harry Horscoch Date: October 16, 2010, 09:28:49 am

Another idea I've been kicking around is to call a Crisis Line and give them the story about killing Grandpa from the beginning of The King Of Marvin Gardens. Followed up by some crying and then let loose. Just be sure you don't tell them you are suicidal or you might have the Cops kicking down your door.
