Then once, when I was a kid doing it, we encountered a man who was clearly drunk.

yeah but poisoning children is a little more than irresponsible, so in a way it's still crazy
drunk handing out candy, doesn't surprise me. drunk people don't want their house toiletpapered any more than sober people -- maybe
