Hiya,

Been working on a 'tow-specific' Clinton board and took it out for a test drive recently. While most encounters with tow operators ended up going BOOM (you could feel the air go out of them), this woman was very patient with Willy and did her best to help him out his predicament. The board is still very much a work in progress, with volume levels being adjusted, as well as lines being added and subtracted, but I'm hopeful I can set it loose into the world in the coming weeks. In the meantime, hop into the Buick convertible and hang on for dear life.

I've posted the link to the video I've used it in, since I was having trouble posting the call on its own the other day. You'll notice I've made Clinton into a different character (Willy Horton), but that is simply a creative decision. I know the real 'Willie Horton' is a black man, but this is meant to be a fictional person. smiley

Thanks to Jackulator for the original material!

(Hope the call falls within the posting rules. Willy's use of 'sonofabitch' isn't directed at the lady, but rather an expression of his exasperation. That said, he does get prickly (once provoked) toward the end.)

I got real hyped from that intro, started laughing right when the news lady said "In a ditch"  grin

I love the way you string the clips together, it is a unique style with an interesting rhythm. I am seriously excited to see what else you'll be able to do  grin

My brother and I have been dying listening to your other calls too.

"Are ya sittin' in yer two?"  critiqueJack "you are, well gooooooood"

Howdy,

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. It's been a lot of fun putting the board together. I get a real kick out how matter-of-factly Clinton describes his accident, as well as beating a drunk elderly man with a golf club.

The tow lady was very kind and sounded genuinely concerned for 'Willy's' well-being.  cheesy Too bad she thought Willy was being rude to her later on.

She was by far the most patient and indulgent of the tow people Willy spoke with that day.

Hi, Bronco.

I quite enjoy the creative process of weaving a story out of these 'characters', so i do tend to put together little trailers to introduce a series, yes.  grin

As for the tow-specific Clinton board I've been working on, I've been flirting with the idea of make it a multi-page board, wherein it maintains the essential 'skeletal' lines (openings, short replies, etc.) across the pages, but differs in terms of Willy's 'tow story'. The essential is him being stuck in the ditch, of course, but there's a lot of room for variation in what happens before and after that.

Jackulator has done such a brilliant job of capturing dozens of quality lines, that it would be a shame not to put as many of them as possible to use!  cheesy
